Not your typical Wordless Wednesday

My mom always likes to say that God never gives us more than we can handle. This week He has put our Faith to the test, throwing one surprise after another our way.

Monday morning, Gillian Grace was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Today {Wednesday} we're still here; and thankfully, GG's status has been upgraded to stable. The reason for Gillian's sudden illness is still unknown at this point as we're awaiting the results of a few more tests.

So needless to say, I'll be away from the computer for a few days. Once we're released {tomorrow, hopefully} my only plans are to spend a little family time with our lil' bean in the comfort of our own home.

Wishing you and your family a blessed end to the week and wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ---Phillippians 4:6-7

Maybe not the same illness but we had to go through the same thing with my youngest daughter. She is our sick baby (and clumsy baby). Her first time in the hospital was at 8 weeks old. She had developed a severe kidney infection and was hospitalized for about a week. It just broke my heart every time. The second time she was because she had RSV, the third time was because she had an allergic reaction to cranberry juice (we had no idea she was allergic to cranberries and that was only for two days) and the last time was because she fell off of her bed and popped her elbow out of joint. That last one was only for one day, but it was a long day because she had somehow managed to get the tendons wrapped around the bone and they had to work them back into place. I had to leave the room for that one... she screamed for me the whole time and I had to let them work with her. I cried the whole time.

Enough about me...I know GG will be okay. The Lord is on her side. God bless you and your family during this time. Our prayers are with you. It breaks my heart to see her laying there. Enjoy your time together! I look forward to your next post telling us all about a full recovery.

Your baby and family are in my thoughts and prayers. Our little girl went through something similar a few months back, have your doctors looked for an MRSA infection? Stay strong, I know its hard when your little one is in the hospital.

Oh my goodness! It's probably a good and selfish thing I wasn't around this week! I would've been having heartache for your little one, so I'm glad (and selfish) about the fact I didn't find out abou this until she was perfect again! So sad. Prayers it was just a random fluke and she'll never have to go through that again!
