Our Strawberry Shortcake

Saturday afternoon I got dressed up and went for a ride,
Across the bay bridge to the other side.
Momma and Daddy took me to see,
The Strawberry Festival in nearby Loxley.

On the way in I pulled off my shoes,
Got comfy and grabbed a quick snooze.
We strolled around the park for a while,
Did some people watchin', which always makes me smile.

After a while, we stopped to listen to a country band,
I tried hard to clap but just ended up waving my hand.
Mom and I danced to a song or two,
Then I had a bottle, which if you ask me was long overdue.

We plopped down on the grass for a little rest,
And although the grass looked tempting, I knew it'd be hard to digest.
An old geezer with a camera kept filming me,
And Daddy's disapproval was easy to see.

Not long after that I decided I was done,
But we made one last stop by a tractor just for fun.
For a festival with Strawberry in its name,
I didn't see that many berries, but had fun all the same!

So berry adorable!

The poem was so sweet and funny! And I don't blame your husband! We had an experience on one of the "rides" at our mall. Kate was in this jumping apparatus and some random dude off to the side was filming her! YIKES!

Gillian Grace has the most expressive face. She is just too cute for words. What a blessing this blog will be for her when some day she will be able to share it with her little one! You are preserving her childhood in such a special way.

That is one beautiful little girl!! And I love all the chunky, little rolls! I've got skinny babies so I really appreciate chunky ones when I see them!

Now I realize I don't know you, but I think I adore you still the same. Any mother who would give a small (yet adorably pudgy!) baby a juicy strawberry in a such a gorgeous dress without a second thought is my kind of woman! Love the poem. Love the baby. Love the pictures. Love everything.
