High Praise

Becoming a stay-at-home mom has affected every single aspect of my life, including my wardrobe. Gone are the days of dressing to the nines for work in fabulously trendy little garments. And, as for shoes, let's just say my high heels have seen just about as much action as a Nun at Sunday service. Tennis shoes, ballerina flats, and dare I say, flip flops have relegated my heels to back of the closet status. But when the occasion calls for glam, I do what any self-respecting Southern gal would do and cram myself into some Spanx, free my dress from it's dry-cleaning cocoon, don the pearls, and last but not least, dust off that perfect pair of pumps. After all, it's not the woman that makes the man, but rather the great pair of shoes that make the woman, right?!

Well, I was beyond speechless (and for those that know me that's saying a lot) when I received a comment from Jill over at The Husailey Bunch informing me that my lil' old bliggity blog had been given an award. And, it wasn't just any award, but the Stiletto award! How fab is that?! Jill's blog is an ah-mazingly hilarious account of her life as a wannabe entrepreneur (her words, not mine) and a stay-at-home mom of six kids (yes, I said 6). So the next time you find yourself out cruisin' the bloggyhood, swing by her place and say hi.
