Brown Smown

Used to be that seeing a package on my doorstep made an ordinary day feel like Christmas with all the excitement and anticipation of opening something just for me!

Now the ever-evolving delivery methods of one unnamed service {UPS} has me seeing red! With the new ring, toss, and run approach, I suppose it's too much to expect that my package will arrive just the way it was sent---intact!

For starters, and I know this is asking a lot, how about delivering a package that doesn't look like it's been through a tour in 'Nam, since I'm honestly one couch cushion away from having a Tom Cruise inspired meltdown and going all Mel Gibson on Mr. Brown's behind!

And just look---Sweet Bean's so ticked even the camera couldn't focus!

Have a great almost Friday, friends!

Oh no! We have excellent USP service in Montgomery. It's Fed-Ex that is so bad here. I have so many stories of bad service, I couldn't even begin to share them all. We always request alternate delivery service if it's available. Sorry Brown isn't working for you these days! It is so frustrating, I know!!!! URGGG. :)

I'm anti UPS, too...I hate when they won't just leave something at the door, even if I've written a note begging, taking full responsibility for what may happen. Urgh!

Don't you just hate paying for something and it arrives looking like that! Hope it didn't damage the inside stuff. I have to admit I cracked up at the picture of her crying and you said she was so ticked the camera couldn't focus!!

AMEN! If you aren't going to send a copy of this on to UPS, may I have your permission to do so. It makes a world of difference, especially when they know how many people are agreeing with you.
Hey, power of the pen, or in this case the blog.

That you for you sweet comment! This is so disapointing, I saw an newclip yesterday of a UPS man sleeping in his delivery truck. hahah!

You should see some of the packages we get at work. Terrible. I know they are in a rush, but c'mon. Unacceptable!

I hate when I get packages arrive looking like that! I got one delivered one time and it looked like someone had opened it, it was so torn and tattered!! And that was just a priority mail envelop in the mailbox. And thanks for the compliment about my background :)

You're not joking about the drop and RUN... I can be sitting by my front door and he makes it all the way back to his truck before I can open the door!

Ugh it's so ridiculous!

First of all...love Kevin James :) King of Queens is one of my favorite shows!

The picture of GG is too cute...I need to remember to get some of Little W when he's not too happy!

Hope everything was okay inside. I always go with the good ole USPS...and they do a good job!

You aren't alone - all of my packages look like that too! Drives me crazy!

Love GG's face in that picture. I see that same little pouty mouth quite often these days!

Okay, WOW, that seriously sucks!

I've got the other end of the spectrum, my UPS man rings and waits most of the time, so he can give Boozer a doggy treat (he brings one to him, and only him - he's told me). I think we're going to tip him for Christmas this year, and give him a framed pic of Booze. :)

OK so I know exactly what you mean! I don't EVER see the UPS guy at my house. The doorbell rings & when I get there (I don't live in a mansion so it's not long) vamoosh! NO UPS guy or truck! It's like he sprouted wings & flew away! Don't even get me started on getting a package that doesn't look like it's been beaten with a baseball bat!

I could not agree with you more. I have had many packages lately that look like the truck ran it over before delivering it to my doorstep. Not so much to ask for at all. A nice square, put together package holding something you spent your hard earned money on.

PS. Love the pic of Doug :)

Also love the sad face pic, so sad and cute.

Thanks for following my blog! I am a huge Gilmore Girl fan and miss it so much! I often watch the reruns that are on TV and during our summer/winter breaks I usually watch one of the seasons. It's sad, but I love it!

How irritating!

I have to laugh at your daughter. It really is kind of funny (Perhaps it's because mine is no longer that small that I can laugh.). She's just too cute!

hey just dropping in from Flip flops and pearls home tour tuesday but couldn't resist commenting on this post. cause I have been there done that! I use to be the same way LOVED a package on my porch but the last few have left me less than excited. *My Christmas cards left on my porch with a slight knock while it's raining by the time I open the door it is set on wet porch he is back to the truck! then ordered a new big ol TV on black Fri. once again raining and it is left on my WET porch with barely a knock that luckily I heard, I open the door he is back to the truck I say "is it heavy" he replies yes, well you think you can come back do a good job and bring it in the door off the wet porch! luckily I was home cause anyone could have seen I had a 42in tv sitting on my front porch and taken it!

i get frustrated sometimes, though other times it seems like it wasn't taped up well from where it was sent.

That's just awful. Kevin James (a.k.a. Doug on the King of Queens would feel just so inadequate right now...)
