Things may have changed a bit since I first watched the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but one thing remains the same, kids love it! Gillian Grace has had a fascination with the big eared one since she was a little more than two months old. There isn't a lot on television that can captivate and maintain GG's attention, but just hearing the melody of the Clubhouse jingle is enough to trigger a joyful reaction.

Ah-Mazing!

My mom sent me a link to this clip from the Bonnie Hunt Show of five year old Savannah's phone call to 9-1-1 after her father began experiencing chest pains. If you are like me, not wanting to see another depressing story (there's enough of that on the evening news), then you are in luck! This is an amazing, even comical at times, story complete with happy ending. At 30 years old, I can only hope that I would be able to maintain my composure as well as little Savannah. I'd say she's more like 5 going on 45. Even though Gillian Grace hasn't even uttered her first word, I made a mental note to be sure to teach her the importance of knowing what to do in an emergency situation.

Fingers crossed that we'll never encounter a need for calling 9-1-1 in our lives, but here's hoping that we'll be as level headed as Miss Savannah if we do.

It's been said more than once that I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Bon Jovi, especially one Mr. Jon Bon Jovi. And, it seems that the age old adage, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree couldn't be more true! Normally very entertained by her new Baby Einstein exersaucer, today GG had a big distraction---Bon Jovi on Inside the Actor's Studio with James Lipton. I couldn't help but laugh as she'd play for a bit then shift her gaze toward the tv and smile as she caught a glimpse of my celebrity crush. Just the confirmation I needed to know that those nine plus months of singing along with the New Jersey rockers paid off---she's a Bon Jovi fan! Sorry Bret, it seems our lil' Gillybean has inherited her Mommy's taste in music!
