Saturday afternoon I got dressed up and went for a ride,
Across the bay bridge to the other side.
Momma and Daddy took me to see,
The Strawberry Festival in nearby Loxley.

On the way in I pulled off my shoes,
Got comfy and grabbed a quick snooze.
We strolled around the park for a while,
Did some people watchin', which always makes me smile.

After a while, we stopped to listen to a country band,
I tried hard to clap but just ended up waving my hand.
Mom and I danced to a song or two,
Then I had a bottle, which if you ask me was long overdue.

We plopped down on the grass for a little rest,
And although the grass looked tempting, I knew it'd be hard to digest.
An old geezer with a camera kept filming me,
And Daddy's disapproval was easy to see.

Not long after that I decided I was done,
But we made one last stop by a tractor just for fun.
For a festival with Strawberry in its name,
I didn't see that many berries, but had fun all the same!
